How to Prepare

  • No fasting or special preparation.
  • Wear or bring shorts, or plan on a gown.
  • Remove ankle bracelets and any walking boot for the scan.
  • Tell us which ankle.

Common Questions

Pain at or above the ankle bones is an ankle study. Pain in the arch, midfoot, or toes is a foot study. They are separate exams with different coverage — tell us where it hurts and we will route it correctly.

No, walking boots contain metal. Bring it and put it back on afterward.
