How Far Is It?

The US-50 / I-64 corridor feeds into the I-270 loop from the west. Washington, Union, and Hermann are the short trips; Jefferson City and Columbia are a manageable two hours. One honest note: US-50 is partly two-lane, so times from Jefferson City can swing more than an interstate commute.

Washington MO40 mi45–50 minUS-50 E → I-270 → Exit 2
Union39 mi40–50 minUS-50 E → I-270 → Exit 2

Jefferson City115 mi~2h05US-50 E → I-270 → Exit 2
Columbia121 mi~2h10I-70 E → I-64 E → I-270 S → Exit 2

A few honest caveats:

  • Washington MO: About 40 miles via US-50 east; usually 45–50 minutes, but allow an extra 10–15 minutes if you hit I-270 rush hour.
  • Union: About 39 miles via US-50 east; typically 40–50 minutes, but allow an extra 10–15 minutes if you hit I-270 rush hour.
  • Jefferson City: About 115 miles on US-50 — part of it is two-lane highway, so times vary more than they do on the interstate. Usually around 2 hours, but give yourself a little slack.
  • Columbia: Roughly 121 miles via I-70 and I-64; usually about 2 hours 10 minutes, though long-distance drives can run 15–20 minutes longer or shorter depending on traffic and weather.
