MRI in St. Louis — Driving from the MO-21 Corridor
MO-21 is the road that becomes Tesson Ferry — our own street. From Hillsboro you're about half an hour away; from Farmington and Fredericktown, the faster US-67 and I-55 route gets you here in about an hour to an hour and a half. Either way it's toll-free, and the scan is a flat$399, no insurance needed.
How Far Is It?
MO-21 north becomes Tesson Ferry Road and runs right past the clinic — for Hillsboro and De Soto it's the natural route, no interstate involved. For Bonne Terre, Farmington, and Fredericktown, US-67 north to I-55 is the faster way, and MO-21 is the scenic alternative. Every route below is toll-free.
| Origin | Approx. miles | Approx. time | Route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hillsboro | 24 mi | 25–33 min | MO-21 N → becomes Tesson Ferry Rd |
| De Soto | 33 mi | 35–43 min | MO-21 N → becomes Tesson Ferry Rd |
| Bonne Terre | 49 mi | 50–59 min | US-67 N → I-55 N → I-270 W → Exit 2 (fastest) |
| Farmington | 61 mi | 1h05–1h10 | US-67 N → I-55 N → I-270 W → Exit 2 (fastest) |
| Fredericktown | 79 mi | ~1h25 | US-67 N → I-55 N → I-270 W → Exit 2 (fastest) |
A few honest caveats:
- Hillsboro: About 24 miles via MO-21 north; typically 25–33 minutes, but it’s two-lane with lights for the last stretch, so allow an extra 10–15 minutes at busy times.
- De Soto: About 33 miles via MO-21 north; typically 35–43 minutes, but it’s two-lane with lights for the last stretch, so allow an extra 10–15 minutes at busy times.
- Bonne Terre: About 49 miles via US-67 and I-55; typically 50–59 minutes, but allow an extra 10–15 minutes if you hit I-270 rush hour.
- Fredericktown: Roughly 79 miles via US-67 and I-55; usually about 1 hour 25 minutes, though long-distance drives can run 15–20 minutes longer or shorter depending on traffic and weather.

Sunset Hills Imaging is one location — 12152 Tesson Ferry Road in St. Louis. Here's how to get here from the MO-21 corridor.
- 01
From Hillsboro or De Soto
Take MO-21 north. It becomes Tesson Ferry Road and runs right past the clinic — two-lane with lights for the last stretch.
- 02
From Bonne Terre, Farmington, or Fredericktown
The faster route is US-67 north to I-55, then I-55 north to I-270 west and Exit 2. MO-21 is the scenic back-roads alternative if you prefer it, but the interstate is the one we recommend.
- 03
Take Exit 2
If you’re on I-270, Exit 2 (MO-21 / Tesson Ferry Road) is the clinic’s exit, about a mile north of the address.
- 04
Final turns
Head south on Tesson Ferry Road, turn right on Gerald Drive, then right on Merito Drive to 12152.
- 05
Park at the door
Free on-site parking right at the clinic entrance.
The last stretch of MO-21 is two-lane with lights, and I-270 backs up during weekday peak hours, so add 10–20 minutes if you're arriving then. Every route above is toll-free, and parking is free on site.
Why the Drive Is Worth It

One flat price, no surprises
Every non-contrast scan is $399, with no facility fee, no separate radiologist bill, and no insurance required. For many patients that's less than their deductible.
Non-contrast studies only
No IV, no dye, no prep. Bring your doctor's order and you're done.
Report in 24–48 hours
A board-certified radiologist reads your scan, and the report goes to your provider within two business days.
Toll-free and free parking
MO-21 and the alternate routes have no tolls, and parking on site is free. The only cost is the $399 flat rate.
For patients from Farmington or Fredericktown, the savings usually cover the drive many times over — and the report reaches your provider within 24–48 hours, so you're not waiting on anyone. A doctor's order is required for every scan; same-day appointments are often available, so call(314) 834-7226 and we'll find a slot that works with the drive.
